Show Cristine Bryant enjoys Mn School ' Tour of Eastern Seaboard M e m o r i a 1 , V a s h i n g t o n Monument, the Smithsonian Institute, John F. Kennedy Center, Iwo Jima Memorial, as well as the LDS Washington Temple and many more interesting in-teresting places. They also visited the U. S. Capitol where they were privileged to visit with Senator Jake Garn after which they toured the White House. Enroute to Williamsberg, Virginia on the 24th, they stopped in Alexandria, Virginia and visited Mt. Vernon. In Williamsberg they visited the colonial stores, shops and homes including the Governors Palace and the Capitol. On the 25th on their way to the Dulles Airport in Washington D. C. they stopped off in Jamestown. They landed at the Salt Lake International Airport at 1:30 a.m. where the trip came too soon to an ending. The trip was sponsored by the International Consortium of Education. I PAKOWAN - Cri: tine Bryant a senior at Parowan High School has just recently returned from a Bicentennial inspired trip. Cristine was the only student from Iron County that went on this exciting trip. The Bicentennial "In School Program" tour was from Tuesday Nov. IB through Tues. Nov. 25. Two hundred forty three students and chaperons went on the tour. They spent three days in New York, three in Washington D.C. and two in Williamsburg. They boarded a D.C. H chartered char-tered jet in Salt Lake City Nov. 1H and headed for the John F. Kennedy Airport in New York City, New York. They spent three days touring the sights there including New York City from the top of the Empire State Building one hundred and two floors up. They climbed up into the statue of Liberty, visited the United Nations, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Radio City Music Hall plus many more exciting places. On the way to Washington D.C. on the 21st they stopped in Philadelphia and toured Constitution Con-stitution Hall, The Liberty Bell, and the home of Betsy Ross. In Washington they visited Lincoln Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, Jefferson |
