Show Parowan High band to attend US U Invitational On March 23 and 24 the Parowan High School band visits Logan, Utah for the pur. pose of performing at the Utah State University's annual an-nual Invitational Band Festival, Festi-val, says John Talcott, musi-cal musi-cal director at Parowan High. The invitational meet is a non competetive event in which each band plays before be-fore an audience of other young musicians and college band directors. When each group Is finished performing, a verbal critique is of fered by members of the university staff to the band and its director. di-rector. Then the University personnel oftent akes a few minutes to direct the band themselves, offering further help and suggestions. The Parowan High School band feels that it is a great privilege to receive an Invitation, Invita-tion, as only three schools are asked to attend each year. Mr. John Talcott, music director di-rector at Parowan says that the band students are working work-ing very hard and are becom-ing becom-ing very excited about the opportunity which has been extended to them. |
