Show -; "Flight to Freedom" is subject of Knife, Fork lecture Jane Archer was studying acting in Munich, Germany and doing quite well at it when all of a sudden it hap-pened. hap-pened. That was in 1938 and it came as a shock and a surprise. sur-prise. But it was all minor compared to what happened during the next seven years and then finally, her escape to freedom. Jana Archer will toe the guest speaker at the Escalante Knife and Fork Club meeting to be held Monday, Feb. 5 at 7 p.m. at the Sugar Loaf Cafe. Her address, naturally, will be "Flight to Freedom." Now living in Milwaukie, Wis. with her husband and their on,e son, Jane Archer admits ad-mits her first duties are that of "caring for my family," but she still finds time to occas-sionally occas-sionally address American dinner club audiences within a one-day traveling radius of her home. JANE ARCHER She started out to make a career in acting on Broadway. The fact she now is one of the nation's favorite women lecturers lec-turers came about as the re. suit of the incident of the war that trapped her in Germany for those seven years. |
