Bonzo's literature class at Cedar City High School are presenting present-ing an in-class original drama by Lois Green of Cottonwood High School. Drama in the class room is the focus in the presentations of SYSTEMS. Students are, left to right: Steve Ha-fen, Ha-fen, Kerrie Forsyth, Carol Agle, Karen Kar-en Grimshaw, Dane Leavitt and Bret Woolf. . CHS English program diversified Diversity surely Is characteristic charac-teristic of the Cedar City High School English Department. The offerings are wide and all of the students at the high school are enrolled in one or more of the classes. New to the curriculum Ithls year is the humanities course. The course is taught by Harold Shirley and it focuses on the areas of art, music, literature and history. Mrs. Neola Brown teaches : sophomore Language Arts and she has individualized pro-grams pro-grams in English, including Vocational English. Mrs. Jeanne Pryor teaches sophomore (Language Arts and Foransics. Mrs. Fern Amend teaches French and Journalism. Journal-ism. Miss Phyllis Davis teaches teach-es all of the various areas of drama and Junior-Senior Language Lan-guage Arts. Mr. Shirley teaches English Literature in addition to the humanities classes. Douglas G. Bonzo. depart-merit depart-merit chairman, teaches Advanced Ad-vanced Placement English, sophomore Language Arts, Literature and composition. Reaching the individual stu dent and relating to the students stu-dents self concepts is the major ma-jor goal of the department. |
