Show Many awards made at January Court of Honor; Summit wins prize The second will be LDS Scout Sunday, which will be Feb. 11. It was announced that the Court of Honor for the month of February will be held on Sunday evening the 25th In the Third Ward chapel with Troop 13 as host troop. It was also announced that this will be an Eagle Court, with two Eagle badges to be awarded. The Court of Honor came to a close with the retiring of the colors, the closing song "Do What is right" and the benediction by Dewalne Brew-er. A highly successful and well attended Boy Scout Court of Honor was held Sunday evening In the First-Second Ward chapel. The court was hosted by Troop 349 of the Second Ward, with its members mem-bers taking charge of the opening op-ening and closing ceremonies. ceremon-ies. Five of the six scout troops making up the Brian Head district were present and a large number of progress and merit badges were given out by officers of the district. The court began by those present singing "Choose the Right," the invocation was given gi-ven by Bill McCallen and the flag was posted by Danny Packwood, Gary Barton and Brent Rowley. Scouts of Troop 344, Summit, Sum-mit, was awarded 15 merit badges and two progress awards. They went to the fol- lowing: Donald Hulet, Chad Hulet, Jeffrey Stapley, Ralph K. Green, Larry Green, Steven Stapley, Bruce Evans, Douglas Doug-las Pierce, Lyle Pierce and Arthur Ar-thur Lyon. Eighteen merit badges went to scouts Of Troop 336, Enoch, with the following as recipients: recipi-ents: David Chrlstensen, Paul Sherratt, Joe Barton, Roger Grimshaw, Tim Burrows, Leon Nelson, Bruce Grimshaw, Kevin Ke-vin Murle, Earl Grimshaw, Jim Culbertson. Troop 341, Parowan First received three progress and 16 merit badges. Receiving them were Tracy Adams, David Warner, Clayton Calloway, Danny Calloway, Steven Decker, Dec-ker, Kim Bess, Chris Hanks, Robert L. Evans, Randy Lister Lis-ter and Scott Adams. Troop 349, Parowan Second, had ten merit badges and three progress awards. Receiving Receiv-ing them were: Russell Tullis, Billv McCallan, Randy Dalley, Dwalne Brewer, Danny Pack-wood, Pack-wood, Brent Rowley, Brooks Dalton and Tommy Packwood. Troop 343, Parowan Third, had two progress and 22 merit mer-it badge awards: They went to: David Mitchell, Blair Bent-ley, Bent-ley, Kirk Matheson, Mark I .. Matheson, Robert James, Gary, i Benson, Ryan ' Fiack, Curtis Mitchell! Stan Benson, Gordon Mortensen and Gordon Gurr.. For compiling the highest number of activity and attendance at-tendance points the honors for the month went to troop 344 of the Summit Ward. With the month of February Febru-ary being designated as Boy Scout Month, several activity programs were announced to be held.
