Show New service lets student wives attend events : Southern Utah State College students wives are attending more school events since the inauguration of a unique baby-sitting service at the college col-lege last quarter, according to Mrs. Betty Kingsford, assistant assist-ant dean of students at SUSC. Simply by calling the dean's vice through winter and spring quarters. "We are very happy that we can help these young mothers get out and participate partici-pate in the campus social life," she said. Cindy Hahu, child development develop-ment major from Las Vegas, Nev., is chief baby tender and coordinator of activities for the program. Jan, 31; La-Verne La-Verne -SUSC basketball game, Feb. 2 and 3; Repertory Dance Theatre (Music Arts), Feb. 6; SUSC band concert, Feb. 10; Western New Mexico SUSC basketball game, Feb. 16; Adams Ad-ams State SUSC basketball game, Feb, 17; Drama Club Melodramas, Feb. 23 and 24; SUSC orchestra concert, Feb. 24, and Ballet West (Music Arts) March 5. office at the college and registering regis-tering her child, or children, a student wife may secure free care for her tots while she attends college functions. Trained baby sitters entertain, enter-tain, feed, and care for their small charges in the Family Life Department of the College Col-lege while Mom goes to see Dad play basketball, or the parents attend a play or con-cert con-cert together. Mrs. Kingsford reported that good response has encouraged sponsors of the program to continue with the tending ser- |
