In a wedding ceremony solemnized sol-emnized Saturday morning, Jan. 27 in the St. George LDS Temple, Miss Christine Belle Tincher became the bride of Douglas Arthur Evans. The double ring rites were performed per-formed by Theron Ashcroft of the temple presidency in the presence of members of both families. The beautiful decorations were provided by Mrs. Leon, ard Orton, the flowers by Mrs. Alma Jones and the cake was made by Mrs. Ernest Ash-down. Ash-down. Mrs. Melva Barton was at the organ for background music, and she and Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Robinson furnished music for dancing. Homer Adams was master of ceremonies for a short musical mu-sical program which consisted of a solo by Allan K. Nielson, accompanied by Mrs. Nielsen; a vocal duet by Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Tincher, accompanied by Mrs, Itha Mortensen; a saxophone saxo-phone medley by Mrs. Hazel Jean Robinson accompanied by Mrs. Clark Lamoreaux, and a solo by Janet Tincher with Mrs. Mortenson accompanying accompany-ing The newlyweds are now on a honeymoon trip and when they return they will make a home in Parowan, where Mr. Evans is engaged In the livestock and trucking busl-ness. busl-ness. The bride is a graduate of the Dos Pueblos high school in Golita, Calif, and has attended at-tended Southern Utah State College in Cedar City. The newly-wedded couple were honored at a reception that same evening held In the Parowan Third Ward cul-tural cul-tural hall. For this event the bride wore an empire style gown of white satin with lace bodice and embroidered with pearls on the bodice and the sleeves She wore a floor-length floor-length veil of Chantilly lace Her cascade bouquet was a white orchid surrounded by pink baby roses, carnations and baby breath. Matron of honor was Mrs. Joseph S. Rice who wore a floral floor-length gown of lavender, blue and green and held a bouquet of lavender carnations, white mums and baby breath. Bridesmaids were the Misses Helen and April Evans, who wore matching gowns of floral flor-al bodice and pale lavender skirts. They carried bouquets of lavender carnations and white mums. Flower girls included in-cluded Dawna Nielsen, Lori Nielsen, Stephanie Applegate and Jennifer Lynn Anderson. Best men for the bridegroom were Charles Boardman, Mike Adams, Bill Tincher and Dan Evans, and ushers were Joseph Jos-eph Rice, Don Bentley, Ray- |
