Show "Asia, a Changing World" is topic of Literary Club The Parowan Literary Club met at tte home of Mrs. Idel-la Idel-la Robinson in Paragonah on Wednesday, March 21. "Asia, a Changing World" has been the club's subject for the entire en-tire year, Mrs. Marguerite Orton, Or-ton, as guest speaker, gave an Interesting discourse on the country of Thailand. Mrs. Orton's son, Capt. Steven Ste-ven Orton of the Intelligence Division of the U. S. Air Force has spent a year and a half in Thailand. Mrs. Orton displayed display-ed Interesting articles of jewelry, jew-elry, clothing, Chinese dolls, etc., from that country In connection con-nection with her lesson. Mrs. Edna S. Hatch and Mrs. Jean Hendrickson were in charge of the evening's program pro-gram with Mrs. Gwen Jones, vice president conducting. The club voted to help financially fi-nancially with the repairs of the Old Rock Church as the community project for this year. Refreshments were served by hostesses, Mrs. Melva Barton Bar-ton and Mrs. Robinson. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Fae N Benson. |
