Show NEWS FROM S UJM1IT with their folks, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Davenport. Mr. and Mrs. Marc Allton and children were in Las Vegas Ve-gas to spend the week-end with friends. Mr. and Mrs. Dannie Condie and boys spent a day in Las Vegas recently. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Whicker and son Curtis traveled to Salt Lake City on Tuesday of last week where Mr. Whicker attended at-tended school meetings. Sons Keven and Gary stayed overnight over-night in Fillmore with grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Whicker and little Greg remained re-mained here with his Davenport Daven-port grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Michael Stapley of Salt Lake City, and the new Mrs. Stapley's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Beck of Bountiful. Mr. and Mrs. Dee El Stapley were in Murray recently to visit with Mrs. Stapley's mother Mrs. Viola Nielson and family members and where Mrs. Stapley was guest of honor at a birthday dinner. Mr. and Mrs. J. Frank Dal-ley Dal-ley were In Salt Lake City over the weekend. They took their son Elder Mark Dalley there to the to the mission Home for a weeks training. He will then go to the Brigham Young University for eight weeks schooling in the SDan- Mrs. Dpnna Davenport Several very nice activities have been enjoyed here this past week. On Saturday, Mar. 17, the Relief Society Anniversary Anni-versary was celebrated with the members and their partners part-ners enjoying a dinner, a program pro-gram and dancing to the mus-ic mus-ic provided by Marc Allton, Dee El Stapley, Quenton Bowl, er and Karen Humipherys. Mrs. Alma Lawrence headed the committee and Dee White was Master of Ceremony. Special out-of-town guests were members of the Parowan Stake Presidency and wives, President and Mrs. Phillip Hanks and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rich-ard Nelson. Also a member of the Stake Relief Society Pres. idency and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Evans, and from Cedar City, Mrs. LaPriel Lunt. The MIA ofifcers, the Boy Scouts and their leaders served serv-ed a turkey dinner with all the trimmings to the townspeople towns-people Friday evening to raise funds for the Boy Scouts. Mrs. Emma Fife joined her four sisters, Mrs. Edna Bott of Cedar City, Mrs. June Clark, Bountiful, Mrs. Clesta Beck, Salt Lake City and Mrs. Virginia Vir-ginia Ohipman, Pleasant Grove for an eleven day trip to Hawaii. Mrs. Kent Larkin and daughter Corey of Cody, Wyo. were here recently to spend a week with their folks, the Hyrum Humpherys. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Storey and sons Jeff, Mark and Neil, were here from Ogden to spsnd the week-end with Ned-ra's Ned-ra's folks, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Dalley. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Farrow and Lyle Farrow were recent overnight guests of Lois and Jack's daughter and family, the Conley Adams' in Hunter Mr. and Mrs. Darryl Davenport Daven-port were here from Kayenta, Ariz, to spend the week-end ish Language prior to going to the Arizona, New Mexico LDS Mission. . Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Dalley welcomed their daughters and family members" from Salt Lake City Kathleen and Mr. and Mrs. Scott Munson and Tyler over the weekend. Ward Conference was held here a week ago on Friday evening and Sunday with members of the Stake Presidency Presi-dency and High Council In attendance. The young people of the Ward were in Cedar City Saturday Sat-urday and Sunday to attend the LDS Youth Conference. The M.I.A. officers and some parents accompanied them. Mr. and Mrs. Alma Lawrence Law-rence traveled to Provo on Monday of last week to take their son Keith, who is a student stu-dent at the B.Y.U. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Farrow enjoyed a three day visit last week from Mrs. Farrow's sister-in-law, Mrs. Boyd Lawrence Lawr-ence of Las Vegas. Wilford Lawrence welcomed his grandson, Ronald Rees here for several days visit last week. He is a student at Utah State Univrsity at Logan and son of Mr. and Mrs. Max Rees of Kaysville. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Farrow Far-row returned home on Tuesday Tues-day from a three days visit in Lemoore, Calif, with their son and family, the Gayland Farrows. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Walker of Orem visited here Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Farrow. Far-row. Robert Hartshorn and son, 1 Barry, of Mesa, Ariz, were here to spend the week-end.
