C J H names Math Fai r winners Winners were announced this week in the Math Fair held this past week at the Cedar Junior High School. Results Re-sults of the Science division of the fair will be announced at a later date. Two young ladies shared grand champion honors in the Hulet and Julie Brown, third. competition with their presentation pre-sentation of Fractions Facts. They are Debbie Callison and Louise Dalby. They will receive re-ceive a "Snoopy" trophy engraved en-graved as the "World's Greatest Great-est Math Students," according to Norman Adams, Richard A. Olds and La Veil Chamberlain, math instructors. Other winners at the the Math Fair were as follows: S t r ing Drawings: Brad Bauer, first place; Calvin Hamilton, second, Sandra Honorable mention went to Sally Hull. Polyhedral CheTyl Toleno first place with a poster "Math Helps in Many Ways." Second place winner was Dl-anne Dl-anne Cannon with her poster entitled "Inscribing a Regular Pentagon." Games and Demonstrations winner was Murray Condie. Second place went to Mitch Baldwin and Mike Harvey and third place was picked up by Gene Jensen. It was the third annual Math and Science Fair staged by the Junior High School. I 1 |
