Show Baseball takes over at Parowan High; squad hampered by cold, wet weather ter for Parowan will be at Beaver on April 6. The com-plete com-plete schedule from there Is April 13, Parowan at Delta; April 27, Millard at Parowan; May 4, Milford at Parowan. Practice games will be Ap-rll Ap-rll 10, Cedar At Cedar; April 24, Enterprise at Parowan; May 1, Cedar at Parowan; The Regional play-off will be May 11, with state semifinals semi-finals on May 18 and State Championships on May 25. NOTE: The Rams after only one day of outside practice, traveled to Hurricane Saturday Satur-day for a double-header and dropped 'both games, the first by a 5 to 0 score and the second sec-ond by a 4 to 0 score. Craig Bentley went the route In the first one and Russell Morten-sent Morten-sent went the route in the second. Baseball Is now In full i swing at the Parowan High School, under the direction of Coach Dave Jenson. There are 18 players now involved In the program. The attitude is good and there seems to be good depth in most positions. So far, hitting looks like one of the strong points for the Rams, with several players hitting the ball real hard. The outfield looks good with experience and speed. Outfielders Out-fielders include Chris Bentley, Danny Hulet, and Jerry Johnson, John-son, seniors; Juniors are John Dalton, Mike Richardson and Karl Bentley, and freshman Paul Williamson. The Infield Is not definitely set but Is starting to shape up. Seeing action at third base will be Karl Bentley, Danny- Hulet, sophomore, Ed Walunas, and freshman, Steve Johnson. At short stop will be senior Craig 'Bentley; junior, Russell Mortensen, and sophomore soph-omore David Lamoreaux. Sea. ond base is rather undecided with several players being considered, including Jerry Johnson, junior John Sturde-vent, Sturde-vent, and sophomore Carlyle Potter and David Orton. At first base will be senior oe Williamson and sophomore Tom Johnson. Catching appears ap-pears to be a strong point, with senior Mark Orton doing do-ing very well. Russell Mortensen Mor-tensen will also see some ac- tion catching The pitching staff Is rather untested with the exception of Craig Bentley, who handled hand-led mutch of the pitching, datees a year ago. Others who will see action on the mound this year are Russelll Mortensen, Mor-tensen, David Lamoreaux, Carlyle Potter, Ed Walunas, Mike Richardson, Mark Orton. The Parowan High has a busy schedule this year including in-cluding 11 double-headers. The Rams should do well in the northern division of Region Re-gion Eight this years after finishing second a year ago in a close race. The northern division di-vision teams include Beaver, Delta, Milford and Millard. Millard won the division last year. The schedule of games for Saturday, Coach Jenson's Rams, got un-day un-day way Saturday March 23 at Hurricane with game time being 2 p. m. in a practice tilt.
