Show Wild West events includes buffalo dinner, night Rodeo PAHOWAN - Have you ever .had a craving to go back to the days when the west was wild, with indians, and shoot-outs in the streets, when horses were wild and men were wilder, the days when people ate sourdough, beans and buffalo? Well, here's your chance! The Red Hill Wranglers are sponsoring, a Wild Wild West Rodeo June 14 and 15 at 8 p.m. each evening. On Sat. morning the festivities will begin with an old-fashioned chuck wagon breakfast sponsored spon-sored by the Third Ward Elders Quorum. The breakfast will feature hot cakes, ham and eggs and all the trimmings. They will be set up and begin serving at 8 a.m. and continue until 11 a.m. The breakfasts will be priced for family dining and everyone is urged to attend. Proceeds from this will go towards a new carpet for the church. At 4 p.m. everyone is invited to round up the kids and friends and neighbors and go to the city park where Howard Knight, barbecue specialist, will serve up a hearty dinner of real buffalo. This may be your one and only chance to taste real buffalo meat cooked to perfection, with delicious baked beans, rolls and salad. Price is only $2.50 per plate or $12.00 per family. Serving will begin at 4 and continue until 6:30 or 7. During the dinner there will also be games including volley ball and horseshoe pitching. After the dinner everyone is invited to round up the kids and friends and attend the Rodeo. The Rodeo will begin at 8 p.m. and will be the finest ever presented in this area. i |
