Show Improved student scholarship accorded Laurence Feaver Southern Utah State College's Most. Improved Student Scholarship, an award for exceptional ex-ceptional improvement in academic performance, has been awarded Laurence Feaver, Salem, Utah County. Feaver received the award for improved academic status for the 1973-74 school year at SUSC. He is majoring in business administration, ad-ministration, minoring in accounting ac-counting and has a 3.4 grade point average at SUSC. - The BYU transfer student credits his academic improvement im-provement to clarifying his goals, committing himself to a i LAURENCE FEAVER major and being married. His wife, the former Beth Barzee, is from Springville. They have a six month old daughter, Jennifer. Feaver is the son of Stanley and Virginia Feaver, Salem. "Laurie has made a very significant improvement in his academic performance while holding down a part-time job," Jim Piacitelli, coordinator of SUSC counseling services and scholarship administrator, said. "I am very pleased that Laurie is the scholarship recipient because I believe he exemplifies the type of student and behavior we are encouraging to earn the award," Piacitelli said. Privately donated money will finance the $180 scholarship. In addition, Feaver will serve as a proctor during American College Test (ACT) administrations at SUSC during the year. |
