Helen Barton, Mark and Nicole and Mrs. Debbie Johnson and son Michael traveled north on May 24 for the wedding festivities for Miss Jacalyn Dailey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alan Dailey of Midvale who spoke her marriage vows to Scott Curtis in the Provo Temple. Many other relatives were present for the occasion including in-cluding Alan's 92 year old grandfather, Milton Dailey, the Lawrence Daileys of Riverton, Wyo., Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hollingshead of Milford and Mr. and Mrs. LaVon Thompson of St. George. A family dinner followed the ceremony and there was a reception in the evening. Mrs. Barton and her family were to West Jordan the following day to visit with her sister Thelma and her husband, Royce Thoman and returned home on Sun. The Sam Cutler family traveled to Las Vegas on Tues. to visit until Fri. with the Mark Henderson family. They left Kinberly there and brought Wallace Henderson home with them to visit for a time. Mrs. Lola Robb and her sister, ' Miss Shirley Fotheringham were in Salt Lake City recently where they met their father and other family members for a temple session and sealing. A brother Howard Fotheringham brought the girls and Mr. Fotheringham to J'aragonah afterward and visited here overnight. On May 27 Mrs. Lola Robb left for Tuscon, Ariz, for a stay with the Bob Christiansen family while the youngest girl was hospitalized for surgery. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Lund arrived home on Sat. from an eleven day trip which took them to Logan for an overnight stay with the Steve Halversen family and then on to Billings, Montana to visit the Victor Smith family. Gayle and the children accompanied ac-companied them to Billings. They also visited relatives in Rexburg, Idaho before returning home. Granddaughter Lori Smith came home with them. Eugene Robb of Price was here last weekend to visit with his father, LaGrand Robb. Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Lundy and two boys of Las Vegas were here the first weekend of June to visit with Adele's aunt, Mrs. Gwen Jones. Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Debus of San Diego, Calif, arrived here early Sat. for a two week stay at their vacation home. Their friends, Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Tomlinson of Chula Vista arrived later in the day to spend a week here. Mr. and Mrs. Clem Englestead of Panguitch were in town on Sat. to visit with Clem's sister, Mrs. Gwen Jones. Mrs. Sarah Robinson arrived home on Fri. to spend a few days. She is able to walk about the house now and is slowly improving im-proving from a four months illness. Miss Diane Bittsilly traveled to P'anguitch Sun. evening to catch the bus for Tohatchi, New Mexico after spending the school season her with her foster family, the Boyd Robinsons. Diane graduated from Parowan High School in their recent exercises. Mrs. Joan Davenport and daughter Barbara traveled to Salt Lake City the first of last week to spend some time at the Jerald Davenport home. Clinton Robinson and son Ernest of Richfield were here Sat. for an over-night stay with parents, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Robinson. The Legrande Leigh family of Plain City returned home on Sun. following a week here with the Blaine Jones family and at the reservoir where they enjoyed fishing. Kenneth Jones of Fredonia is here visiting with his grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Jones. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Robb and Ray Ferguson traveled to Orem last week accompanied by Miss Sandy Ferguson of Las Vegas to attend High School Graduation exercises. Mrs. Robb's daughter Karen was among the graduates. She accompanied the Robbs back to Paragonah. Miss Louise Davenport spent last week in Cedar City attending Girls State activities. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Davenport and Douglas attended the closing ceremonies with her. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Robb and family of Henderson, Nev. spent several days here visiting with Mrs. Nina Robb. Mrs. Parley Leavitt of Mesquite, Nev. is here for a summer visit with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Dalton. The David Burns family moved to Calif, during the past week after several months in Paragonah. Mrs. Burns will be remembered as the former Lovena Barton. The Richard Thornton and Darrell Thornton families of Las Vegas were here for the weekend at their vacation homes. |
