Ticket sales are now on with competition between individual and various j service groups. j I Chamber to sponsor fund raising dinner June 22 tl A fund raising steak dinner will be held at I? the Cedar City Municipal Park Saturday, fl June 22 by the Chamber of Commerce, it is I announced by Keith Cripps, President. The event is being planned in cooperation with service, organizations pfthe community ' ' for the purpose of raising money to help meet expenses on the new building project now I underway on Municipal Park. I? The dinner, with all the trimmings, will be served from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tickets for the ) event are now on sale and several special h prizes are being offered in connections with k the activity, according to Lee Fife, executive I secretary. H A special trophy cup will be presented for f the individual selling the most tickets for the P event. In addition awards will be made for the $ largest individual contribution and for the 1 civic organization that sells the most tickets. A $10 contribution is being asked for the 1 fund raising event, but a special $15 price has been authorized by the Chamber board for a husband and wife combination. 1 ,. In addition an individual membership in the , 1 ' Chamber of Commerce will be authorized for 1 each $10 contribution. Regular individual membership in the Chamber is $10 it was 1 pointed out. The entire community has been asked by the Chamber officials to support the project and enjoy the opportunity of joining in a totally community gathering in connection with the event. I Contacts are being made throughout the 'community. Tickets, however, will be available at the park on the evening of the steak fry. , |
