Show I i i Liu SHELDON LEE STUCKI Cedar City student receives Utah State degree Sheldon Lee Stucki came from Washington D.C. for the graduation ceremonies at the Utah State University, where he received his master's degree in mechanical engineering. Lee is employed in the Transportation Tran-sportation Department for the Federal Government in the Safety Division. He has taken advanced training in computer programming while in this department. Before coming to Utah, Mr. Stucki attended the George Washington University on a government grant for a week wherein he attended a workshop on the subject of Finite Elements. The world's top scientists were teaching at this workshop on this advanced theory of calculus through the use of computers. After the workshop was completed he met with a group of engineers in Buffalo, New York to discuss and evaluate this new theory and its use in the field of engineering. While Lee was in Utah he spent several days in Cedar City visiting friends and relatives. He enjoyed the opening of the fishing season while here. Sheldon Lee is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon J. Stucki of Cedar City. |
