Show Fraud Prevention Clinic set be obtained by calling Lee Fife at Slate Bank of Southern Utah, 586-3875. In an effort to promote the awareness and prevention of losses from fraud, State Bank of Southern Utah will sponsor a Fraud Prevention Clinic August 9, 1978 from 7 to 9 a.m. at the Town and Country Restaurant in Cedar City. "Preventing losses from bad checks will be one of the main topics of discussion along with detecting counterfiet money", said Eldon Schmutz, State Bank Cashier. "We have arranged for some excellent speakers," explained Schmutz. Sch-mutz. Included in that list will be Iron County Sheriff Ira Schoppmann, County Attorney, Hans Q. Chamberlain, Cham-berlain, Cedar City Police Chief Doug Bolton, Mike McBain Resident Senior Agent for Wester State Bankcard Association, and Cliff Wenzek, Special Agent for the US Secret Service. The clinic is designed for all local merchants, their employees and any other interested individuals. Participation is free and will include a light Continental breakfast during the clinic.
