Show Robert J. Thorley, Cedar Livestockman dies at 58; Honored at Services thews. The benediction was offered by Reuben Jones and Elwood Corry dedicated the grave. Interment was in the Cedar City Cemetery under thedireciton of the Spilsbury & Graff Mortuary. Robert Jones Thorley, 58, died July 29, 1978 at the Dixie Hospital in St. George. Born Sept. 16, 1919 in Cedar City to Frank A. and Sage Jones Thorley. Bob was a livestockman, graduate of Utah State University and done post graduate work at Tempe University. Served a mission to the North Western States, active member of the LDS Church where he was a high priest. Donor of Educational Scholarships to Southern Utah State College. He is srivived by 2 sisters Mrs. Harold (Norma) Dent and Mrs. Fredrick (Phyllis) Eberhard both of Salt Lake City. Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 1, 1978 i ROBERT J. THORLEY at 1 p.m. at the Cedar 13th LDS Ward Chapel with Darrell Matthews conducting. con-ducting. The family prayer was offered by Douglas A. Dent with June Thorley Larsen playing the prelude, postlude music and Smoot Seaman giving the invocation. in-vocation. Musical selections consisted of a Vocal Duet by Howard and Orma Wood singing "Whispering Hope" and a vocal Quartet consisting con-sisting of Floyd Rigby, Dan Moss, Rulon Bickmore and Jack Stokes singing "Hills of Home". The speakers were Ray Hall and Scott Urie with remarks by Darrell Mat |
