Show Free-use Firevood Permits Required Sundays, 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and Wednesdays, 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. "Permits are required for the removal of firewood; and, the cutting of standing dead trees is not authorized on the Cedar City District of the Dixie National Forest", cautioned Ranger Hollo Brunson today. The firewood permits of two local residents were revoked last week for cutting cut-ting standing dead trees. The permit specifically prohibits such cutting. The Ranger urged the cooperation of the public. Free-use firewook permits are available at the District Tanger's Office B2 North 100 East in Cedar City, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Permits are also available at the Duck Creek Field Station, Saturdays, |
