Show Cedar Builders head T-Ball League The seventh and final week of play in the Cedar City T-Ball league went as expected, but there were several games that were an important prelude to tournament play. The week started with four teams that would meet again in the tournament. Antone's took on Skaggs, but a good defense turned back an excellent hitting effort. In the second game Centurv 21 lost a two pointer to the Cedar City Police Department Depart-ment that would be reversed in the tournament. Tuesday Cedar Builders beat Gary's Texaco and Bradshaw Firestone overcame Lockhart. Wednesday games started with Antone's beating Gary's Texaco. This game marked the beginning of a winning streak that Antone's would use during its climb to a second place finish. The big game, however, saw Bradshaw Firestone take on Cedar Builders in an effort to create a 3-way tie for first place. But there was no denying Cedar Builder's as they shot down the Firestone crew. Thursday became the last day of league play with Century 21 beating Lockhart and Skaggs defeating the Police Dept. The final league standings were as follows: Cedar Builders 12 2 Skaggs 11 3 Brad. Firestone 10 4 Cedar Police Dept. ..8 6 Century 21 7 7 Antone's 5 9 Lockhart 2 12 Gary's Texaco 1 13 The eight teams participated par-ticipated in a year-ending tournament this past vek.
