Show Panhandlers 4-HCIub By Tanja Dunaway The Panhandlers 4-H Club is doing well in their cooking project this year. Some of the favorite dishes they hve made are: Marshmallow Crispies, French Toast, Macaroni and Cheese, Muffins, Quick Breads, and Pancakes. Club members have been taking turns going to the Cedar City Public Library Story Hour each week. They usher and tend children for a community service project. July 10th and 11th, all club members and their leaders attended Iron County 4-H Camp. There they were awarded first place in the Ditch Oven Cooking Contest and honorable mention for their personal identification and skit. Tanja Dunaaway and Leslie Heath won first place in the Lummi Stick Contest, and they were honorable mention winners in the Art Contest. They all agreed that camp was a real treat! The panhandlers will host a party for parents on August 8th. They are also preparing for Exhibit Days, where they will exhibit quick breads and present demonstrations. |
