Show Grant spent a few days in Salt Lake and Clearfield visiting their children Rolainne King and family and Velda Grant and for Vada to see her doctor. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Prisbrey visited in Salt Lake With their grandchildren Laura and family and for Doneva to keep a doctor's appointment. Prince A farewell Testimonial was held recently for Elder Gary D. Prince before he entered the mission home in preperation for his two year mission call to the Texas Houston Mission. A large crowd of family friends and relatives attended. lie entered en-tered the home on his 19th birthday July 15. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Vivian Prince. After the testimoneial Mr. and Mrs. Prince was host to a luncheon lun-cheon for family members and close friends of Garys. LaVerna T. Englestead has enjoyed visits from her children and most of her grandchildren during the past month. Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Gollmer and family and friends held a family reunion in Zions National Park and also visited friends and relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Richard E. Nyberg and son Greg and daughter Vickie and husband Tom Ervin, LaVerna's daughter Alta E. Hoover and granddaughter Salina all from Los Vegas, Fred Englestead and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Spencer and family from Cedar City, Judy Laub and family from Los Vegas. Mrs. Lyle (Venice) Prince had the misfortune to scald herself with boiling water. She is suffering from 2nd and 3rd degree burns on her legs. We wish Venice a quick recovery. Word was received by . family members that Mrs. Fern Hall of Cedar City underwent surgery in the LDS Hospital Wednesday. She is the sister of Vada Grant, Sylva Hall, Bea Hurst of New Castle, Lyle, Vivian Reed and Darce Prince. Her family and friends wish her well. Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon home. They were accompanied ac-companied home by Lowells and Sharons daughter Linda Morris who had been visiting with friends Mr. and Mrs. Ray Taylor and family. Talonnie Prince the small daughter of the Lowell Princes visited in Cedar City with her cousin Kara Prince, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Prince while her parents were in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Pace visited in Manti recently with Mrs. Pace's grandmother grand-mother and also attended the Mormon Pageant. Visiting recently with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Pearce were their son Mr. and Mrs. Jay Pearce from Las Vegas and an army buddie of Jay's, John Abbanante of Providance R. I. While here the Jay Pearces and Mr. Abbanante visited the National Parks and other spots in Utah and also took in some fishing with Thomas Pearce. Mrs. Boyd Fenn spent a few days in Calif, to help take care of a new grand-baby grand-baby born this week to her daughter and husband. The descendents of the late Mr. and Mrs. James E. Taylor held a family reunion at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leland Taylor Saturday June 22nd with a dutch oven dinner. Visiting and getting to meet new members of the family were enjoyed by all. Ronette and Ember Heider are here visiting their grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Darce Prince. The girls are from Calif. Little April Ann, small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mitch Schoppmann of Cedar City spent the night here with the Lowell Prince family while the Schopp-manns Schopp-manns were on a trip. Mrs. Margie Meecham of Milford spent the night here with her mother, Aunt Emma Nielson. Mrs. Leonard Smith of Salt Lake City visited for a few days with her friends Mr. and Mrs. Anthon (Sylvia) Pace. |
