Show PHS Rams lose to Bulldogs 69-61 PAROWAN - The Parowan Rams basketball team made a much better showing "the second time around" when they met the Gunnison Bulldogs for the second time this year. The first time the Parowan team met the Bulldogs they came out on the very short end of the score. Thursday night the Rams only lost by 8 with a 69-61 69-61 final score. First quarter score was 14 to 11 in the Rams favor then the Bulldogs began to pull ahead as they broke through the Rams defense to build up a 32 to 28 lead at halftime. Third quarter saw Gunnison 53 Parowan 42. The Rams were off a little on their shooting making 23 of 62 shots. They also suffered 27 turnovers. Tom Robinson was high point man for the Rams with 17. The Parowan team is looking forward for-ward to the Region tournament, and coach Ralph Riggs feels the Rams will have a few surprises for the competition there, as their playing abilities have been steadily improving. |
