Show BPW members attend Salt Lake Meet standing women of the community com-munity by choosing a "Woman of the Year" and a "Young Career Woman." Susan Gardner, our Young Career Woman for the State of Utah and who is a member of our club, spoke about her trip to the National Convention Con-vention which was held in Denver, Colorado. The Young Career Women were honored there, at National with a special luncheon. The guest speaker at the luncheon was Ruth Jarman, Executive Secretary to Governor Matheson. Her theme was to get more women into politics, especially into positions of leadership. By Candace L. Ewing Four members of the Cedar , City business and Professional Womens' Club traveled to Salt Lake City to attend a Board Meeting of the State Federation, on Saturday February 12. It was held in the Goldfield Convention Center of the Tri Arc Lodge. Those making the trip were President Blanche LeBaron, Vice president Elisabeth Dewsnup, Treasurer Karla Hulet, and Young Career Woman Susan Gardner. The meeting convened at 9:30 a.m. and ran through to 4:30 p.m. with time out for lunch.
