Evans is a native of Cedar City and has been active in theatre at Cedar High School and at Southern Utah State College. Evans directs Dinner-Theatre Mr. David Evans has been chosen as the producer director of the Four Seasons Dinner Theatre in St. George, Utah. The announcement was made by Lance Fry, owner of the complex. com-plex. David is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold B. Evans, and native of Cedar City. He graduated from Cedar High School where he was active in speech and drama. He worked in many productions and served as stage manager. His senior year was named out-standing theatre student and Best Actor. At the present he is a senior Theatre Arts Major at SUSC. David is well known by resident Theatre patrons for his fine performances per-formances in such plays as uncle Chris, in "I Remember Mama" and The Good Doctor, which recently brought attention as the members traveled to continue in their winning performance. David has always loved theatre. He has traveled to New York twice with Fred Adams, and attended 18 broadway plays. Talked with many actors such as Christopher Plummer and Richard Burton. Much of the success David has known is due to the works of one man, Fred C. Adams, who David believes is nothing short of genius. Fred has been his director in college, taught his high school teacher Phyllis Taylor, and taught two of his favorite teachers, Mr. Lewis and Mr. Mclntyre. Mr. Evans first play will be the Fantasticks, America's longest running musical. It opens March the 5th and runs through the 12th. He invites everyone in the area to come and enjoy the Dinner Theatre. |
