Some 60 southern Utah bus-iness bus-iness and mining leaders, conservationists, and educators educa-tors met at College of Southern South-ern Utah Feb. 7 and 8 for a Seminar in Mineral Economics Econom-ics sponsored by the Utah Na-lural Na-lural Resources Council and CSU. Major topics of discussion included the Kaiparowits coal development in Kane County and water resources throughout through-out the Five-County area. Other matters brought before the group related to resources and needs in the state and the nation, trenus in employment employ-ment in the mineral industries, indus-tries, competitive markets for Utah natural resuroces, and other subjects J elating to mineral economics.
