Natural Science class study bird life south of St. George on field trip. Members of the class are, left to ridht: Kim Cope, Stanley Esplin, Tim Parry, Jim Davis, David Piatt, Jim Leigh and Robert Junes. "Natural Science Is Added to Cedar High Curriculum A new class has boon added to the schedule of tlv Cedar City High School. Natural Science Sci-ence is being offered to a few students on a trial basis. The main objective of the class will bo to introduce the stud'ont to the natural environment envir-onment in which he livos. Most of the time in the class has boon spent working with birds found in southern Utah. The class also includes units on earth science, animals of the area and plants of tlw area. The class is built on the field trip theme. Students enjoy en-joy working in the field where they can observe living tilings in their natural environment. Students also spend some time in class and laboratory activities. The class has been supported sup-ported by the school district with transportation, which has enabled the group to take field trips into most of the natural habitats found in southern Utah. |
