Show News from Parowan High School Brian Head Resort Featured in NY Times Tito Parowan High School is allowed to take three newspapers, news-papers, with the two Salt Lake dailies as two of them; the third is the New York Times, one of the leading newspapers in tiro nation. Imagine the surprised look on the faro cf librarian Jean Hondrickson the other day as she opened the Sunday edition of the Times to see staring at I her a three-quarter-page storv I carrying a PAROWAN, UTAH I dateline. The article was on page 17 of section 20 which features resorts and vacation lands of the country. The story was a feature article ar-ticle on Utah ski and winter resorts, and our Brian Head' Ski Resort received more than three-fourths of the article. In the top center was a picture of Cedar Breaks in winter ta- , ken by Frank Jensen. Title was "Utah's Ma and Pa Ski Areas"; four columns on Brian head, l'a on those in northern and eastern Utah. It described in much detail the location of the area, how to get there and the facilities available. Kay and Vyonne Chamberlain and their five children came in for a fine write up; it tells of the lifts and ski courses, the ski shop and rentals facilities. In fact the writer, who signed the story at the end with a simple sim-ple "J. G." seemed to know more about the resort than do most of us. Visit the school Jibrary and road it. |
