Show I One Win Will Put I Parowan in 'Region Eight Playoff REGION EIGHT Northern Division Delta 6 0 1.000 Milford 1 3 .575 Parowan 3 3 .500 Millard 2 5 .283 Beaver 1 5 .166 In last week end games in the division basketball race the Delta Rabbits of Mitch Myers clinched the northern division title with a 6-0 record in league play by dumping Parowan Friday night. Although Al-though they have two games remaining, none of the other teams can touch them even if they should lose both. The Milford Tigers of Ivan Rowley, came up with two big wins, over Millard at Milford and Parowan at Parowan, to take over second place and drop the Rams to third. They have only cne game left, that with Delta at Milford next Thursday. If they win it they can clinch a tie for second. A loss might drop thorn to third depending on what Elliott El-liott Jordan's Rams do in their remaining games. To get back into second the Rams will have to win from Beaver there next Thursday and then take Millard here the following Thursday, provided Milford loses to Delta. If Mil-i'ord Mil-i'ord wins and Parowan wins the two, they will tie for second. sec-ond. The fourth spot in the division divi-sion and entry in the Region Eight round robin, seems to lay between the Millard and Peaver teams, although the right combination of wins can Cither can tie Parowan if the latter loses its remaining contests con-tests and they win. Odds are that they won't do this. Millard with two wins has ; to meet Parowan at home to finish, and Beaver has Parowan Paro-wan at Beaver then Delta at Delta, and are not likely to win both games. |
