As a fund raising activity the Cowbelles are raising funds by taking contributions on a beautiful sheep pelt rug, shown in the accompanying picture. One of th0 contributors contribu-tors will be awarded the pelt at the conclusion of the fund 'drive. Officers point out that they are not forsaking their own cattle industry by offering offer-ing the sheep pelt as a fund incentive. One of the officers stated that "It's not like in the old west days when sheepmen sheep-men and cattlemen were bitter bit-ter enemies. Today most of the cattlemen in Iron County are also sheepmen." The auxiliary organization is also working with the Iron County Cattlemen's Association Associa-tion for the annual Steak Fry which will be held in August-it August-it will be at this event that the pelt will be awarded, officers of-ficers noted. .-a |
