Director Joseph Felix of the Institule, predict-e.l predict-e.l that the new edifice, ex-pccled ex-pccled to bo ready for occupancy occu-pancy in the fail of 11)71, would ereale new activity and new interest in the important church program conducted for students attending Southern Utah Slate College. The event is an "answer to a dream," he said. "But, although al-though the building will create cre-ate interest and provide ac-iivity, ac-iivity, il is still the individual association with students that makes the Insltute program such an interesting and challenging chal-lenging experience." Wallace Sjoblom, member of t'he SUSC Stake Presidency, offered the groundbreaking nrayer, then officials from the pa rt i ci pa t i n g orga nidation and from the Cedar and Cedar West Stakes took part in shov-cling shov-cling out the first ground for tlie buildings foundation. GROUNDBREAKING. Church leaders of the community, along with contractor take first shovels shov-els full of earth for new LDS Institute and SUSC Stake building which is ready for construction. New structure will bo located north of Center Street between GOO and TOO West Streets. Build- ing is expected to be ready for 1971-72 school year. |
