Show ferry Trimmer is victim of his own firecracker j What could haw been a falal accident on Saturday night right after the fire-woiks fire-woiks at the race track, turned turn-ed out with tlw loss of part of a hand. Jerry Trimmer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Trimmer Trim-mer o. this city, lit a homemade home-made firecracker of his own. He didn't think it was burning burn-ing and was still holding it in his hand whi n it went off tearing up his hand and fingers fin-gers bady. He was rushed to the Valley Val-ley View Medical Center by Robert Barriek, of Las Vegas who with with him, and Miss Gayle Bent ley of this city, who was also with him at the time He was given first aid at the hospital and was then rushed to Salt Lake City to the LDS Hospital by ambulance. Miss Bent ley accompanied him, as his parents were not in town at the time. She re-surgery re-surgery the next morning and mained with him until after his parent rs arrived. His mother reports that they had to remove part of his thumb and parts of two fingers, fin-gers, and that he would be in tho hospital for at least 20 clays. Mrs. Trimmer also reports to us that their son Bill Trimmer who lives in Clearfield, had the misfortune to break his leg in two places that same day while at work. |
