Show Pinkham's increase lead in week's baseball contests Pinkham's Service picked up two more wins during the past week of play in the Parowan Par-owan Little League1 baseball race, to maintain its lead, which at this point looks like the championship. On July 2, Pinkhams took a 10 to 6 victory over the Parowan Par-owan Dairy Freez with Mark Benson getting the win and Gordon Mortensen taking the loss. July 3 the Paragonah team downed the Dairy Freez, 7 to 1. David Lamoieaux was credited cred-ited with this win and Stephen Steph-en Johnson was charged with the loss. Again on July 6, Pinkham's Service outscored the Bank of Iron County team 10 to 5 to maintain its supremacy. Cornell Cor-nell Orton was the winning pitcher in this one and Don Hulet was charged with the loss. I In last Wednesday's game here in the senior little league the California-Pacific team took the measure of tho Parowan Paro-wan Lions, 7 to 3. Craig Bentley Bent-ley was the loser for the Lions team and Clair Milne was credited with the Cal-Pac win. The schedule of games for the next week, beginning with tonight, July 9, will be Paragonah Para-gonah vs. Pinkham's Service; Friday, July 10, the Bank of I Iron County vs The Dairy I Freez; Saturday, July 11, LDS Church Softball; Monday, July Ju-ly J3, Pinkham's Service vs. Bank of Iron County; Tuesday, Tues-day, July 11, Church softball, i and Wednesday, July 15 Sen- ior Little League baseball. |
