Show Ada Lowe Evans, 73, Succumbs, Funeral Saturday Mrs. Ada Lowe Evans, 73, wife of Clefford Evans, and a lifelong resident of Parowan, died Wednesday borning at Valley View Medical Center after spending some time in the hospital suffering from a heart ailment. Funeral services for her will be held Saturday afternoon after-noon at 2 o'clock in the Parowan Paro-wan Third Ward. Friends may call at the Southern Utah Mortuary from 7 to 8 p. m Friday and at the home in Parowan from 10 a. to to time of services on Saturday. Mrs. Evans was born in Parowan, Par-owan, Jan. 15, 1895, a daughter daugh-ter of George Alma and Harriet Har-riet Amelia Allen Lowe. She was married to Clefford Evans Jan. 1, 1913 at the Lowe home in the Parowan Lane, and the union was later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. I Mrs. Evans had served as a teacher in her ward Primary Association and as a Relief Society So-ciety visiting teacher. She had served as chaplain in the local lo-cal camp of the Daughters of, Utah Pioneers and had also served as president and vice president in the American Legion Le-gion Auxiliary of Post No. 20 Nine children were born to' Mr. and Mrs. Evans, eight of whom are now living. Survivors Surviv-ors besides her husband are: J. Lowell Evans, Mrs. Randall (Alice) Adams, Farris Merle, Clifford D., and William Dale Evans, Mrs. EIRoy (Val Rae) Bryant, all Parowan; Daniel L. Evans. Anaheim, Calif., and Hal Stewart Evans, Shelley, Idaho. Also surviving are 22 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Grant Lowe, Bend, Ore.; Alphonso Lowe, Sacramento, Calif.; Laura Spendlove, California, and Lillian Daily, Parowan. |
