Show Cedar City BPV Club Members Attend New Club Charter Nite Fouiwon members of ehe Cedar Ce-dar City Business & Professional Women's Club motored to Hurricane Hur-ricane to attend Charter Night of the new Zion BPW Club of East Washington County, held at Jerry's Jer-ry's Cafe. Present were all but three of the Charter members. The tables were attractive with , -dub colors of green and gold. A large banner of the Utah State Federation adorned the wall back of the head tabe. Each per-on per-on received a corsage of a yellow yel-low satin rose. :: Mrs. Edna Sargent, Director of the Southern District Business and Profesional Women's Clubs; Mrs. Blanche Dotson, vice director, direc-tor, and Miss Karla Hulet, secretary-treasurer, who are also members of the Cedar City Club, were present. The District Officers Offic-ers presented the Charter and officiated of-ficiated at the initiation of char-v char-v er members of the new club, acting act-ing for the State Officers, who were unable to attend. Mrs. Sargent Sar-gent gave a brief outline of the history of BPW on a national, state and local level. Each charter char-ter member signed the roster attached at-tached to the Charter and received receiv-ed a certificate of membership. Mrs. Catherine Crichton, President Presi-dent of the Cedar City club, in- tailed the folowing officers of the Zion Club: Mrs. Katherine Brewer, President; Mrs. Lillian ,,," , Workman, vice president; Mrs. . . F.lsa Reusch, secretary, and Mrs. ' Althea Dix, treasurer. She also presented the new club with a gavel as a gift from the Cedar City Club. The Zion club is the first new club to be organized in Utah since 1960. Mrs. Doly Henrie of Panguitch, a former District Director, was present to represent her club and offer her congratulations. |
