Show University of Scouting Planned by Scouters Arliss Jensen, District Leadership Leader-ship Training Chairman for the Cedar Breaks District Boy Scouts of America, announced today that Scouters in this area will have an opportunity to receive complete advanced training in their Scouting Scout-ing job at the 1966 University of Scouting. The University will be held March 5, in Cedar City. According Accord-ing to Mr. Jensen classes for Cub-masters, Cub-masters, Den Mothers, Pack Committeemen, Com-mitteemen, Scoutmasters, Troop Committeemen, Explorer Advisors, Advis-ors, Post Committeemen, Guide Patrol Leaders and Trekker teach- ers will be held. Parents and other oth-er interested people are invited to attend any of these sessions. Many classes will be taught by the Scout Executives of the Utah National Parks Council. The Saturday training experience exper-ience will begin at 12:30 p. m. with registration and obtaining name tags. At 1:00 p. m. a general gen-eral assembly will be held, followed fol-lowed by two class sessions and a banquet. The University will, conclude with an evening session and the awarding of training certificates to those completing the training. The cost will be $1.50 per person per-son for the entire experience (25c for those who" do not participate in the banquet). Scouters are urged to check with their institutional institu-tional representatives who have further information and registration registra-tion forms, Mr. Jensen said. |
