'bii.-wln.nfc iv. nium nil iimil Elementary Students Show Spirit In Different Ways Elementary schools cannot turn to marching bands, the cheerleaders cheer-leaders club, high-stepping majorettes, maj-orettes, or winning athletic teams to help create and maintain school spirit. It Is quite unlikely that we would ever witness a roaring bonfire with elementary small fry snake-dancing and cheering to fire up the spirits of their entrants en-trants in the next day's marble tournament. School spirit exists in all elementary ele-mentary schools. School spirit gives impetus to learning and .est to school life. Students are showing true school spirit by being concerned over the welfare others. It shows when students stoop to pick up a coat that has fallen from its hanger. It shows when work and study habits improve. It shows when children meet and greet each other with a smile and a cheery "hello". It shows when boys and girls become alarmed about a mark on the wall, or paper on the grounds. Reasons for wanting the deer were that it possessed the characteristics char-acteristics which they desired to be achieved: a deer being graceful, grace-ful, dignified, smart, alert, and cautious.
