The theme of the fair is "A Voyage to Discovery" Dis-covery" and it will be just that to anyone who visits the fair. Richard Dotson, one of the 6th grade teachers, is chairman of the planning and arangements. The school auditorium is the scene of the "Fair."' This room has been a bee-hive of activity for the last two days as the children and teachers have been busy moving the different science sci-ence projects from their own rooms to make the varied and attractive at-tractive displays. Every room from the knider-garten knider-garten up is represented, and in a very creditable way. The kindergarten has a science table of its own and also colorful murals depicting "Night and Day." Mrs. Alice Braithwaite's first grade is showing two large murals mur-als on the aquarium. The displays, "How Cotton is Grown" and "The Products of Cotton" are from Mrs. Dorothy Stucki's first grade. The murals showing the interesting inter-esting changes in the life of a butterfly are from the children LOOK OVER EXHIBIT. Left to right Tamra Clark Rich- ard Jolley and Debra Murdock, second graders, check out one of North Elementary Science Fair exhibits entitled "Sea Shells". I play with "Sheep" as its project. They are showing a very live little black lamb, which will certainly cer-tainly delight the children. This display will show how to make a new kind of woolen rugs and will also show many products of wool. Many people will find new ideas from Dee Stapley's sixth grade's murals and displays telling tel-ling about "Electronics and the Atom." There is a display from the National Parks." They have a large exhibit of rocks and miner- . i als and besides these, there is a showcase showing the beautiful beauti-ful jewelry that the pupils have made in their lapidary class. The huge rocket in the center; of the room and a very large mural depicting "The Conquest of Space" is the work of Richard Dotson's sixth grade. j The scope of the exhibits and display in this "Science Fair" is really surprising. They will hold interest for scientists of any age. Everyone is invited and all are encouraged to come and see this very fine show. of Mrs. Maude Halversen's first grade. The boys and girls from Mrs. Pearl William's second grade have a diplay on space. Mrs. Ada Marie Hooper's children child-ren have murarls called "The Seasons" and "How a Plant Grows." Mrs. Beryl Vorkink's second grade has an exhibit of sea shells, a mural on the life of the spider, a display on water and water experiments and a diara-ma diara-ma of the aquarium. The children from Mrs. Cleo Edward's room have planned their project around the theme, "The Wonders of Air." Mrs. Corry's third grade are showing an attractive aquarium featuring guppies. They have good charts on the guppies and a colorful mural on "Sound." Mrs. Maxine Adam's children have an interesting exhibit on "Water." Mrs. Florine Adam's fourth grade has four exhibits: one is on prehistoric Utah, one is on dinosaurs, one is on fish and a very informative one is all about "Nutrition." Mrs. Blanch LeBaron's children have a fine display on the story of "Milk and its Products." Mrs. Miriam Luke's fourth grade have displays of "Dinosaurs". "Dino-saurs". "The Moon", "Water" and "The Care of Teeth." The children from Mr. Stanley Shakespeare's fifth grade have chosen the theme "The Weather Around Us."
