Pink Ladies Sponsor Luncheon, Award Scholarships A Pink Ladies' Luncheon was held Wednesday, July 27 at the College of Southern Utah cafeteria. cafeter-ia. Special guest was Wm. H. Whipple, Valley View Medical Center administrator. Two girls making their careers in the field of medicine, each received re-ceived $100 scholarships. The recipients re-cipients were Penny Jackson and Rosalie Grimshaw, both of whom have been very active in the Candy Striper program. A crazy hat contest was held with first prize going to Sharon Webb, second prize to Lois Jean Murray and third prize to Marilyn Mari-lyn Pretty. Erma Matheson was given honorable mention. Prizes were contributed by local merchants merch-ants and were greatly appreciated. appreciat-ed. Latest fashions in sacks, were modeled by the Candy stripers and proved to be very interesting. interest-ing. Service Hour Pins were awarded award-ed by President Phyllis Weir and Vice President Susan Cox. Special mention was given lone Brad-shaw Brad-shaw who received her pin for 700 hours. |
