Show NEWCASTLE HEWS KOTES I By Norma ChrUteOMB We finally got some snow, and everyone was looking forward to a White Christmas, but this snow was so wet that unless we get another storm, it will all be melted melt-ed away. All of the auxiliary organizations organiza-tions of the Newcastle Ward Joined Join-ed forces to sponsor the annual Christmas party. A program was presented by the different organizations. organ-izations. Christmas carols were sung by the ward membership after which the "Three Wise Men" distributed sacks of candy and nuts to everyone present Visiting at the Alonzo Chris-tensen Chris-tensen home were Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Thomas and four youngsters young-sters from Enterprise. Bishop Mont Sorenson traveled travel-ed to Salt Lake City mis week for further medical atentlon for his eye. Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Hulet and their three oldest girls left for a vacation trip this week, their destination being Phoenix, Ariz, and over the border into Mexico. They left their two tiny daughters daugh-ters with their sister, Mrs. Min nie Dalley of Summit The Escalante Valley School and PTA presented their annual Christmas party Wednesday evening. eve-ning. A delightful program was presented by the school children. A dance was held afterwards to raise funds for the school. Santa attended the party, much to the delight of every youngster present pres-ent and distributed candy and nuts to everyone. Sunday visitors at the Clifton Hulet home was Ramona's mother, moth-er, Mrs. Reed Prisbey of New Harmony, and friends. Jay Nielsen of St. George, was a visitor last week at the home of his sister and her family, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Hulet. Belle's brother, Jerry Nielsen of Washington, Wash-ington, is staying with the Hu-lets Hu-lets for a few days.
