Friday evening the Redmen traveled to Fillmore to defeat the Millard Eagles, 5S to 55, in the nignest point output of the current cur-rent season for the Redmen. Saturday evening at the CSU fieldhouse, before an extremely small holiday crowd, the Red-men Red-men posted a 43 to 39 win over the highly touted Valley Buffalos. Redmen won both of their week end contests from the field as personal fouls seemed to plague them In both contests. Against the Millard Eagles the Redmen were charged with 12 personal fouls compared to 7 against the Eagles, and the Fillmore Fill-more crew hit 13 for 17 from the foul line compared to six for seven for the Redmen. Against Valley Saturday evening even-ing the Redmen committed 20 personal fouls compared to 10 personals against the Buffalos of Valley. This compared to 32 percent overall for Millard. Against Valley the Redmen averaged 27 percent from the field and Valley was held to 21 percent. The Buffalos failed to score from the field in the second quarter of play and for the first six minutes of the third period. According to Coach Bruce Decker the game against the Eagles was the best effort of the season for the Redmen as they broke away from a 33 to 29 half-time half-time deficit to a two point lead at the end of the third quarter, 42 to 40, and they moved, led by a seven point output by Bralthwaite, to the finel victory.
