Show Construction Nearing Final Stages for Third Ward Addition Construction work on the addition ad-dition to the Parowan Third Ward chapel has reached the inside work stages, we are informed by Karl O. Mitchell, who has the work in charge. The outside work is compled with a few minor exceptions. ex-ceptions. The windows and outside doors were installed some time ago, with the building all closed in before the cold weather came. The installation of the heating system, being done under contract con-tract by Dennett Plumbing and Heating of Cedar City, has reached reach-ed the stage where heat from the heating plant in the old building is now in some of the rooms but not in the recreation hall. The heating plant in the main building was enlarged as a part of the renovation program several sever-al years ago in anticipation of the Increased heating needs for a new addition to the building. With heat in the rooms, workmen work-men have the building almost ready for plastering, which will get under way Immediately, with the Pollocks of Kanarra having the contract for this work. Mitchell states that the preliminary prelim-inary wiring is In at present but that lighting fixtures, hardware and Inside doors are not yet here but will be on hand when needed. The ceiling tile and flooring materials are already on hand and the work of placing this tile and laying of the floors will go forward as soon as the plastering plaster-ing is done. At a planning meeting for the Third War.i fund raising dinner set for next Monday, Bishop !i:ward M. Adams, made the statement that the next affair of this sort will be held in the new building, he hopes within the next month or two. i |
