Show Eva Adams Passes Away at Home of Sister Miss Eva Adams, 62, prominent resident of Parowan and active in the banking business for almost al-most 45 years in this area, died at Susanville, Calif., Sunday evening, eve-ning, Dec. 20. Miss Adams had gone to Susanville some time ago to visit with her brother-in-law and sister, Mrs. Keith A. Dodge. Funeral services were held for Miss Adams on Wednesday afternoon after-noon at 2 in the Parowan First-Second First-Second Ward chapel under the direction of the First Ward bishopric. bish-opric. Burial was In the Parowan City cemetery. The deceased was born in Parowan Par-owan on May 3, 1897, to Hugh Leech Adams, Sr. and Juliette Jul-iette Cecelia Bayles. She attended attend-ed local school, the B A C in Cedar Ce-dar City, the University of Utah and Henager's business college in Salt Lake City. She began her banking career with the Bank of Iron County In Parowan In 1915 and continued with that institution in-stitution until 1932. She was later employed in Salt Lake City by the Wasatch Livestock Loan Co. later the Producers Livestock Loan Co. She returned to the Bank of Iron County in 1947 where she served as assistant cashier and then cashier until forced to quit because of ill health. In all she served a total of 28 years with the local bank. She was a member of the Women's Wo-men's Bankers Association. She was a member of the Parowan Literary Club and the American Legion Auxiliary, which she had served as president She was an active member st the LDS Church and had been a worker In the Sunday School and YWMIA organizations. or-ganizations. Survivors are one sister, Mrs. Keith A. (La Verde) Dodge, Susanville, Sus-anville, Calif., and one brother, Albert E. Adams, Parowan. |
