Show 1 Funeral Services Are Held for Minnie Frith Rowley Funeral services were held Saturday Sat-urday at 2 p. m. for Mrs. Minnie Frith Rowley, 81, long time resident of Parowan, who died early Thursday morning at the Iron County Hospital from causes Incident to age. She was taken to the hospital the day before. -Funeral services were held in the First-Second Ward chapel with Rupert S. Hulet of the Second Sec-ond Ward bishopric conducting. Speakers were George Alexander, r brother-in-law of the deceased, Pres. Harold S. Snow of the St. George LDS. Temple, with brief opening remarks by Elder Hulet. The invocation was offered by W. Leonard Evans, the benediction benedic-tion by Richard L. Rowley, a grandson, and the grave in the Parowan City cemetery was dedicated ded-icated by W. Clair Rowley. The prayer at the home prior to the services was offered by George S. Rowley. Musical numbers on the program pro-gram wei. the opening and closing clos-ing songs, "Oh My Father." and "Abide With Me," respectively, by a double mixed quartet consisting con-sisting of Pres. Howard Knight, Will Marsden, Cherle Day, Alice C Mitchell, Berta Dalton Frank-le Frank-le Lou Bentley, J. Harold and Karl O. Mitchell, with Mary Lyman Ly-man at the piano; a vocal solo, "That Wonderful Mother of Mine," by Pres. Knight, and the song "End of a Perfect Day," by a ladles trio consisting of Shirley Evans, Ramana and Elna Stubbs. Itha '"-rtenk'-n was at the piano for ti.o last two numbers, and Mrs. Lyman was at the piano for prelude and posUude music. Mrs. Rowley was born Aug. 11, 1878, In England, a daughter of George and Charlotte Frith and came to Utah as a convert to the LDS Church In 1900. She has remained re-mained active in that church, serving In the Relief Society and as an ordinance worker in the St George temple. She was married to Thomas H. Eowley, Oct. 5, 1904 In the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She - Is survived by her husband, hus-band, five sons and two daughters, daugh-ters, Waldo F. Rowley, Las Vestas, Ve-stas, Nev.; Harold Rowley, Call- l . . -vj Wiu, Auimiu, George F. Rowley and Mrs. Ches- ter (Verda) Munford, and Mrs. Chester (Edith) Batt, Parowan. Also surviving are 30 grandchildren; grandchil-dren; 16 great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. George Alexander, Alexan-der, of Spanish Fork. |
