' !i 4 v I 1 CONWAT LeBARON j ' Conway LeBaron Gets Call from LDS Church Conway LeBaron, son of Mr. and Mrs. George LeBaron, has received a call from the Cedar Seventh Ward to serve a mission for the LDS Church, it was an-I an-I nounced by Bishop Edwin C Cox. I LeBaron has been called to serve a two-year mission in the East Canadian Mission field with headquarters at Toronto, Ontario, Can. Prior to his departure to the mission field a farewell testimonial testimon-ial will be held in his honor. The testimonial will be at the Cedar Stake House Sunday afternoon, af-ternoon, Jan. 27 at 2 p. m. Speakers at the testimonial will Include Frank J. Tetty and Oscar Hulct with remarks by Bishop Cox and a reading by Betty Bet-ty Ann Jones. j Musical numbers will include a vocal duet by Lyona and Sandra San-dra Cox and a piano solo by Gary LeBaron. ! LeBaron Is a graduate of Cedar I City High School and of the College Col-lege of Southern Utah. At CSU he was the valedictorian for his graduating class. He has attended Utah State University at Logan this past quarter where he has been studying study-ing in the field of soil physics In addition to his academic studies he has also been prominent prom-inent in extra curricular affairs Including a lead in the high school opera, vce president of the Lambda Delta Sigma, religious relig-ious fraternity on the CSU cam-(Continued cam-(Continued on Paga 8, CoL 4) LeBARON MISSION (Continued from Front Page) pus, and was treasurer for the FFA in high school. He has also graduated from the LDS Seminary and from the LDS Institute of Religion, and was an officer In the Aaronlc Prietshood quorums. Le Baron has been employed by the Cedar Frozen Foods and in addition has held several other oth-er Jobs Including that of projectionist projec-tionist at Cedar Theatre, and soil scientist for the Soil Conservation Con-servation Service. He will enter the mission home in Salt Lake City on Monday, Jan. 4 for a week's Intensive training prior to embarking for the mission field on Jan. 11. |
