Show TWO-YEAR SERVICE Ken Jones Called to Serve in Mission Field j A farewell testimonial honor-1 honor-1 ing Ken Jones will be held in the Cedar Fifth Ward chapel on Sunday evening, Dec. 27, at 8:15 p. m. Jones has been called from the ,Cedar LDS Fifth Ward to serve a . two-year mission in the West Central States Mission with headquarters head-quarters in Billings, Mo. He will enter the mission home in Salt f vi rity on Jan. 4. ' Ken is a son of Bishop and Mrs. Homer S. Jones. Speakers at the services Sunday Sun-day evening will be Allan V. Jorgensen, Hank Scagle and Kenneth Ken-neth Anderson. Advice to the missionary will be given by a brother, Thomas J. Jones, and conducting the meeting will be Don W. Draper, bishop's counselor. counse-lor. Musical partlon of the program will include a vocal solo by Jim Thorley; a vocal duet by D'Ann Jones and Jerri Olson; a piano solo by Danny Jones, another brother; a trumpet solo by Mac-Neil Mac-Neil Boyter and a number by a string ensemble Including Prof. Roy L. Jones is a graduate of Cedar High School and the College of Southern Utah where he was extremely ex-tremely active In extra curricular affairs. At the Cedar High School he was a member of the Key Club, where he served as chairman of the annual Career Days; was co-chairman co-chairman of the senior hop; social so-cial committee chairman, student stu-dent director of the band and was named second place winner in the Elks Lodge annual leadership lead-ership contest. At CSU Jones was Instrumental Instrumen-tal in organizing and served as the first president of the Circle K Club; he was the college's advertising ad-vertising manager, chairman of the Snow Carnival and received a coveted "A" award for his activities. ac-tivities. Always active In affairs of the Cedar Fifth Ward he has served as president of liie Deacon and Priests quorum? and for the past several years has served as an advisor to the Deacon's quorum quor-um in his ward.
