Show Order of Eastern Star ' Honored By Official Visitors Cedar Chapter No. 20. Order of the Eastern Star, was honored at Its regular meeting Monday evening, Mar. 25, by the official offi-cial visitation of the worthy grand matron, worthy, grand pa-tron, pa-tron, and associate gTand officers offi-cers of the grand chapter, Order of Eastern Star of Utah. One general grand chapter member, four past grand matrons mat-rons and one past grand patron, and a large group of members from other chapters In the state, also attended the meeting, presided pre-sided over by Mrs. O. W. Junge, worthy matron, assisted by San-ford San-ford Schmltt, worthy patron. Worthy Grand Matron Eleanor F. Heltzman, brought an insplr-ing insplr-ing message on "Tolerance," to the chapter, choosing as her main subject "Tolerance toward all Religions." The Worthy Grand Patron Carl Schaerer, gave appropriate remarks on the Bible to coincide with the worthy wor-thy grand matron's message. The worthy grand matron and worthy grand patron were presented pre-sented with lovely gifts by the conductress and associate conductress con-ductress In a clever ceremony Involving the colors of the emblematic em-blematic star. The associate grand officers, past grand pat- rons ind patrons were presented present-ed with gifts as they were conducted con-ducted to their seats In the chapter chap-ter room. The chapter meeting was pre-ceded pre-ceded by a beautifully appointed appoint-ed dinner In the dining room of Hotel El Escalante at 6:30 p. m. The tables were lavishly deco?. ated with beautiful spring floral flor-al pieces, augmented with distinctive dis-tinctive place settings carrying out the "Easter" theme. At the close of the chapter session, the evening's activities ended with the serving of light refreshments by Mrs. Harry Proctor and Mrs. Roy Lundgre. |
