Show j Andrew M. Lamoreaux Dies in Caliente, Hev. By Mora Lund Andrew Marlon Lamoreaux, 69, a life-long resident of Paragon-ah. Paragon-ah. died Friday, April 5, at the home of a granddaughter, Mrs. LaRue Cook in Caliente, Nev,. on his way home to Paragonah. Mr. Lamoreaux had spent two weeks with his son-in-law and daughter, daugh-ter, Mr. and Mrs. Fay Stewart at Tempiute, Nev. The Stewarts stopped for a brief visit in Caliente. Cal-iente. Mr. Lamoreaux, not feeling feel-ing well, lay down to rest when death overcame him. Mr. Lamoreaux, son of David Albert ' and Hulda Messenger Lamoreaux, was born July 9. 1887 In Paragonah. He was the ninth In a family of 12 children. His boyhood days were spent In Paragonah and at Pine Grove, the family ranch in Parowan Mountains. He received his schooling in the Paragonah school snd at the Murdock Academy In Beaver. He married Estella Jones, also of Paragonah, May 6, 1909. This marriage was later solemnized in the St. George Temple. Mrs. Lamoreaux died Jan. 16, 1950, In the early days of home town dramatics, Andy was a pop. ular actor. He was also a member mem-ber of the ward choir for years, He was an Elder in the L D S Church at the time of his death. He is survived by sons: Errol, Joseph, Clark, Clair and Kay of Paragonah; Ray of Kearns, and Mrs. Winnie Stewart of Tern-piute, Tern-piute, Nev.; 24 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; his aged father-in-law, J. J. Jones, and the following brothers broth-ers and sisters: Archie M., St. George; Clarence, Henderson; Mrs. Harriet Southworth and Mrs. Eva Wilson of Salt Lake City;; Mrs. Adelaide Lund, Pomona, Po-mona, Calif, and Mrs, Nettie Baldwin of Cedar City. Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed in the Paragonah Ward chapel cha-pel Tuesday afternoon and burial bur-ial was in the Paragonah cemetery. |
