Show CSU Baseball Hopeful ToI.IeetSnow In First Encounter Final arrangements on the baseball schedule (or the southern south-ern division of the Intermoun-tain Intermoun-tain Collegiate Athletic Conference, Confer-ence, are still being worked out, according to Coach Cleo Petty of College of Southern Utah. How. ever, opening game of the season sea-son will be against the Snow Badgers on the Cedar City diamond dia-mond on Thursday, April 18, Pet- ty said. Dally workouts are being con ducted and the CSU Broncos and the Cedar High School squad has met or a couple of occasions for workout purposes. I Jln Porter, a product of Delta High, still Is holding down the numUr one spot on the pitching pitch-ing nff and will probably get the starting call In the game with the Badgers next Thursday. Snow will play In Cedar on Thursday and move to St. George Friday for a double header with! the Rebels of Dixie College. These games will complete the series for C S U and Dixie with Snow with neither team making the return trip to Ephralm this season. Other similar arrangaments are being worked out with Carbon Car-bon College with the purpose of eliminating additional expenses for the spring sport. Final arrangements ar-rangements with Carbon have not yet been settled. However, the Broncos and Rebels will meet on a home and home series during dur-ing the season, Petty Indicated. |
