Show Funeral Services Held for Kanarra Resident By Hannah A. Davis Funeral services were held In the Kanarra Ward chapel April 2 for Henry Pollock, who died at ti.e hospital In Price on Mar. 31 of a lingering illness. j The services were conducted by Bishop Harris Gubler. Open-ing Open-ing number was a violin solo, "Oh My Father," by Irene Goodwin, Good-win, accompanied on the piano by Leatha Prestwich, both of Cedar Ce-dar City. Invocation was by Garth Pollock. Speakers were Lorenzo Williams, Dr. J. S. Preswich and Alton Ford. Musical numbers, a solo, "Young at Heart," by Lu. Ree Pollock; a duet by Opal Williams Wil-liams and Fern Bauer, "In the Garden." Both were accompanied by Nedra Ence. Closing prayer was by J. F. Williams and the grave was dedicated by Lynn Reeves. Mr. Pollock was born in KanarravlUe Kanar-ravlUe Jan. 19, 1886. a son of Joseph Henry and Mallnda Roun dy Pollock, married Alice Davies Dee. 4, 1900 In Parowam. Surviving are his widow, son. Joy D. of Cedar City; Denor oST ! Kanarra, and Jack of Payson i daughters, Vaun Isom, Kanarra; Lula Larson, Spanish Fork; No-la No-la Merrill. Payson; Hllma Birch. Price, and Freda Woodbury, Hen-derson, Hen-derson, Nev.; 31 grandcMWrer and nine grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, Sam L. Pollock, and sisters Mary M. Williams, Wil-liams, Francis Williams and Ro-sella Ro-sella Chrlstensen of Kanarra. and Hulda Webster of Salt Lake-City. Lake-City. Burial was In the Kanarra cemetery by Southern Utah Moe-; Moe-; tuary. |
